Tangy Cranberry Sauce image

Use the cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving and Christmas. You can use the cranberry sauce as a filling for my Czech Kolache or Gluten Free Czech Kolache recipes that I posted. Number Of Ingredients 6

1 package cranberries, fresh
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1 tangerine or lemon
1 cup sugar or coconut palm sugar
1 cup water

Steps:

  • 1. Use double boiler and add 1 cup sugar or coconut palm sugar, 1 cup water, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon vanilla.
  • 2. Grate peel of one tangerine or lemon and juice into mixture.
  • 3. Stir occasionally cranberry mixture over double boiler adding more water to keep double boiler from running out of boiling water. Stir mixture until all the cranberries have popped open & started to thicken.
