1 can(s) 6-ounce tomato paste
3 c water
3 Tbsp vinegar
3 Tbsp finely chopped minced can jalapeno slices
1 Tbsp chili powder
1 Tbsp dried minced onion
2 tsp salt
2 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp onion powder
dash(es) garlic powder

Steps:

  • 1. Combine the tomato paste with the water in a medium saucepan and whisk until smooth.
  • 2. Add remaining ingredients and stir until combined.
  • 3. Heat mixture over medium heat until it begins to boil. Continue to cook for about 3 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat.
  • 4. When sauce has cooled, pour into a sealed container and refrigerate.
