SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE WITH NUT TOPPING image

Number Of Ingredients 11

SWEET POTATOES
3 cups cooked sweet potato (or 40 oz. canned)
1 cup of sugar, brown or white
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup milk
NUT TOPPING
1/3 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1 cup walnuts, chopped

Steps:

  • SWEET POTATOES Combine all ingredients in large bowl. Mix well. Pour into a greased 2-quart casserole dish. (If making ahead, cover and refrigerate.) NUT TOPPING Make the topping the day you plan to serve the dish. Mix all ingredients and sprinkle over sweet potatoes. Once topping is on the sweet potatoes, bake uncovered at 350 for 35 minutes.
