SWEDISH TURKEY MEATBALLS image

THIS IS A DELICIOUS RECIPE THAT MY WHOLE FAMILY DEVOURS

1 lb chopd turkey
1/4 c onion, chopd
1/2 c bread crumbs
1/4 c parsley, chopd
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp blk pepper
1 large egg
1 1/2 c mushrooms, sliced thick
2 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp flour
1 can(s) beef consomme
2 tsp worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp sour cream
1 c half n half
1/2 c frozen peas....the healthy part ;)

Steps:

  • 1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 375 IN A LARGE BOWL COMBINE FIRST 7 INGREDIENTS THEN ROLL INTO 1" MEATBALLS. PLACE ON BAKN PAN N BAKE FOR 5 MINUTES TURN N BAKE FOR 5 MORE(if meatballs r STICKN drizzle a TBLSPN of olive oil)...REMOVE FROM OVEN
  • 2. WHILE MEATBALLS R BAKN. IN A LARGE PAN HEAT UP 2 TBLSPNS OF BUTTER N ADD MUSHROOMS N LET BROWN A BIT...THEN ADD FLOUR N COOK FOR 2 MINUTES (U MAY NEED TO ADD ADDTNL TBLSPN OF BUTTER)
  • 3. STIR IN CONSUMME, HALF N HALF, WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE N SOUR CREAM.....COOK FOR 5 MINUTES OVER MED HEAT WHILE STIRRING OCCASIONALY.
  • 4. ADD FROZEN PEAS N COOKD MEATBALLS. STIR TO COAT MEATBALLS N SIMMER FOR 10 MINUTES. SEASON WITH S n P TO TASTE
  • 5. SERVE ON EGG NOODLES N ENJOY :)
