These are my 7 year old's favorite cookies ever! They stay soft for about days if kept in an air tight container, but they never last that long :)

Steps:
- 1. Cream butter, shortening and sugars (brown and white) until light and fluffy. Add egss, vanilla, baking soda and salt, add 2-1/2 cups flour then mix, then add the remaining flour and mix thoroughly. Add chocolate chips (or get a little baker to do this part, mine loves doing it). Drop by teaspoonful onto baking sheet and bake at 350 for about 7 minutes (or until golden brown) let cool, then enjoy!! Perfect with milk, coffee, hot chocolate, and with ice cream in between two of them :)
