SUPER SIMPLE RAITA image

2 cups plain whole-milk yogurt
1 teaspoon cumin seeds, freshly toasted
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 cup red or green grapes, chopped
2 tablespoons fresh mint or cilantro, chopped

Steps:

  • Whisk together yogurt, cumin seeds, salt, and cayenne pepper. Stir in fruit and herbs. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Chill thoroughly.
  • Note: Instead of chopped fresh fruit you can use a mixture of chopped cucumbers and tomatoes.
