Strawberry Vinegar image

Yield Makes about 2 cups

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 pound strawberries, hulled, quartered
1 cup white wine vinegar
1/2 cup unseasoned rice vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
Special equipment:
A sieve lined with cheesecloth or a coffee filter, clean glass jar

Steps:

  • Combine 1 pound strawberries, hulled, quartered, 1 cup white wine vinegar, 1/2 cup unseasoned rice vinegar, and 1/4 cup sugar in a large glass jar. Cover and chill 1-2 days. Strain through a sieve lined with cheesecloth or a coffee filter into a clean glass jar. Cover and chill.
  • Do Ahead
  • Strawberry vinegar can be made 3 months ahead. Keep chilled.
