Strawberry Cake, Ma image

Ma's recipe from her recipe file found in NC in 2019.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 box(es) super moist white cake mix
1 cup(s) water
4 egg whites
1/4 cup(s) oil
1 pound(s) fresh strawberries, see directions
FROSTING:
8 ounce(s) cream cheese
1 cup(s) powdered sugar
1 package(s) dream whip, prepared to pkg directions
1/2 pound(s) strawberries, chopped small or pureed

Steps:

  • Slice strawberries small, sprinkle with sugar and let set until dissolved.
  • Mix cake with all ingredients Add fresh strawberries, stir to blend entirely through cake. Bake at 350 degrees 30-35 min. Cool.
  • FROSTING: Mix cream cheese with sugar. Add whipped dream whip, blend in fresh strawberries. Save some to decorate top of cake, cut only in halves.
