3-4 lb beef chuck roast
butter for frying
14 1/2 oz can petite diced tomatoes
1 medium onion, diced
2 clove garlic, minced
2 stalk(s) celery, diced
1 c red wine, dry, full bodied
1 pkg brown gravy mix
2 Tbsp steak seasoning

Steps:

  • 1. In a dutch oven or large, deep frying pan, brown roast in butter for 5 minutes on each side.
  • 2. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over roast and place on stove top. Cover and simmer for 3-4 hours.
