Steak Tips With Peppered Mushroom Gravy image

The peppered mushroom gravy in these steak tips is creamy, savory, and filled with mushrooms. Thyme adds a pop of fresh flavor. Once the steak tips simmer, they're tender and juicy. Serve over a bed of egg noodles for an easy and tasty dinner your entire family will enjoy.

2 cup(s) egg noodles, uncooked
1 pound(s) top sirloin, cut 3/4 inch pieces
1 tablespoon(s) butter
2 tablespoon(s) finely chopped shallots
8 ounce(s) pre-sliced babybella mushrooms
1 teaspoon(s) minced garlic
3 tablespoon(s) all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cup(s) fat-free, low-sodium beef broth
1 tablespoon(s) soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon(s) pepper
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
3 sprig(s) thyme

Steps:

  • Cook noodles according to package, omitting salt and fat; drain.
  • Heat in a large nonstick skillet over med-high heat coat pan with cooking spray. Add steak and saute for 5 minutes browning on all sides. Remove from pan and cover.
  • Melt butter in a pan add shallots and mushroom and saute for about 4 minutes. Add garlic and soy sauce. Stir in flour and allow to brown about 1 minute. Gradually add broth stirring constantly. Add pepper, salt, and thyme sprigs. Bring to boil; cook 2 minutes or until thickened.
  • Return beef to pan cook until thoroughly, remove and discard the thyme sprigs.
  • Serving Size: 3/4 cup beef, 2/3 cup noodles 344 Calories per serving
