Steak and Mushroom Romanoff (slow cooker) image

Something I came up with to use ingredients I had on hand. I would not recommend using a larger slow cooker.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 lb sirloin steak, cut into small cubes
1/4 c diced onions
8 oz sliced fresh mushrooms
2 c beef broth
1 can(s) (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
2 Tbsp tomato paste
2 clove garlic, minced
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 c sour cream
2 c shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Coat the liner of a 3-quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  • 2. Place steak, onions and mushrooms in liner.
  • 3. In a mixing bowl, combine broth, mushroom soup, tomato paste, garlic and onion soup mix. Pour over the ingredients in slow cooker.
  • 4. Place lid on and cook on high 4 hours. (Or low for 6 hours).
  • 5. Stir in sour cream and cheese. Stir until cheese is melted.
  • 6. Serve over your favorite cooked pasta, rice or mashed potatoes.
