Spicy Rhubarb Chutney image

Number Of Ingredients 14

4 cups brown sugar
3 cups cider vinegar
2 teaspoons ground ginger
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons ground allspice
3 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
12 cups rhubarb, cut into 1/2" pieces
6 jalepenos, with seeds, minced
4 teaspoons minced ginger
6 teaspoons minced garlic
2 cups chopped onion

Steps:

  • Step 1: Combine first 9 ingredients. Bring to a boil and stir to dissolve sugar.
  • Step 2: Add rhubarb and rest of ingredients. Bring back to a boil.
  • Step 3: Reduce heat and simmer 1 - 1/2 hours, stirring often.
