- Drain the chickpeas and place in a salad bowl. Halve the cherry tomatoes and add to bowl. Slice the onion and add to bowl. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic, cumin, salt and pepper, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Optionally add Greek yogurt (if so, reduce olive oil by 3 tablespoons). Mix the dressing well. Add the dressing to the main salad bowl. Taste and adjust seasoning.
