Spicy Cajun Baked Shrimp image

Look for shrimp that has been deveined to save prep time. I like to completely shell the shrimp but you could leave tails on if you like. This is a nice blend of spicy, tangy and sweet. This increases in heat as leftovers!

Number Of Ingredients 10

1/2 cup(s) extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoon(s) cajun or creole seasoning (such as emeril's)
2 tablespoon(s) lemon juice, fresh
2 tablespoon(s) fresh parsley, chopped
1 tablespoon(s) honey
1 tablespoon(s) soy sauce
1 pinch(es) cayenne pepper
1 pound(s) uncooked large shrimp, shelled and deveined
- lemon wedges
- serve over rice with crusty bread

Steps:

  • Combine oil, seasoning, lemon juice, parsley, honey, soy sauce and a pinch of cayenne pepper in a 9 x 13 baking dish.
  • Add shrimp and toss to coat. Refrigerate 1 hour
  • Preheat oven ot 450. Bake until shrimp are cooked through, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes.
  • Garnish with lemon wedges and serve with rice and crusty bread for dipping.
