Spicy Broiled Hamburger Patties image

I find that using the broiler is alot faster than using conventional baking. I also use an ingredient called Hazel Hamout, which is a middle eastern blend of curry, cayenne pepper, edible flower petals, and rosemary. I found out about it on one of my trips to the Jean Talon market in Montreal. You're most likely to find it in Arab stores, because thst is where I found mine. You can mix curry and cayenne pepper together to give a similar taste. I'll list it below as optional, even though I use it all the time in this recipe.

Number Of Ingredients 8

3 lbs ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons pepper
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons oregano
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons mixed curry powder or 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat broiler at 500 degrees F.
  • Mix all ingredients together.
  • Shape into small patties and put on broiler rack.
  • Cook patties at 8 minutes each side.
