How to make Speedy Chili

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 pound(s) ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 - garlic clove, crushed
16 ounce(s) tomato sauce
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
1/8 teaspoon(s) pepper
3 tablespoon(s) chili powder
1 cup(s) water

Steps:

  • Combine first 3 ingredients in a dutch oven; cook until beef is browned, stirring to crumble.
  • Drain off drippings.
  • Add remaining ingredients; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Microwave Directions: Combine first 3 ingredients in a 2-quart casserole.
  • Cover with heavy-duty plastic wrap, and microwave at high for 5 to 6 minutes or until meat is browned, stirring once.
  • Drain off drippings.
  • Add remaining ingredients; cover and microwave at high for 10 to 12 minutes or to desired consistency, stirring after 6 minutes.
