Spaghetti Sauce -Make a Big Pot image

So now I am in Canada, recruited to be a camp cook. The shopping trip, to town and get supplies, was quite an ordeal..mud bogging. Our truck was the only one that would make it out if it rained. Number Of Ingredients 9

2 large onions, chopped
2 or more lb hamburger
4 can(s) tomato sauce
2/3 c italian seasoning (coarse)
2 Tbsp italian spice blend (canada thing)
1 large can tomatoes (cut up) plus 1 can of water
2 c mushrooms, sliced
lots of garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Brown hamburger and add chopped onions and garlic powder. Cook until tender. Drain. Salt and pepper to taste.
  • 2. In a large pot, add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Set on top of the wood stove to simmer for 3 hours or more. This will make 2 or 3 dinners. Spaghetti sauce and sauce for Lasagna. Freeze left overs for another night.
