SOY SAUCE CHICKEN image

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 1/2 Cups Soy Sauce
3 Cups Water
1 Cup Brown Sugar
2 TBSP Honey
1/4 Cup Sherry
6 Cloves Garlic Minced
1/4 Cup minced fresh Ginger
2 star anise or 1 tsp Chinese Five spice
Boneless skinless Chicken Thighs

Steps:

  • Add first 6 ingredients together Stir and bring to a boil. Boil 1 min then add chicken. Return to boil then turn down heat and simmer for 1 hour. Let sit overnight in refrigerator. Skim off fat Reheat Strain out ginger and garlic pieces. Thicken sauce slightly with 2 TBSP of corn starch diluted in 1/4 cup of water Add to sauce return to boil. boil one minute. Then serve with rice
