SONDRA'S ORANGE SLICE COOKIES
Sondra's Mother made these cookies every holiday. Sondra continues the tradition for her family.

Steps:
- 1. Divide flour. Thinly slice orange candies into 1/2 of the flour. And set aside. Finely crush cornflakes and mix with remaining flour. Add baking soda and baking powder and stir well. Cream shortening and brown sugar, add eggs 1 at a time and cream well. Stir in flour and cornflake mixture. Stir in candy and coconut or nuts.
- 2. Roll into balls or drop by spoonful 1 1/2 to 2 inches apart onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
- 3. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
