"SOFT" ORANGE COOKIES

Number Of Ingredients 13

2/3 c shortening, butter flavor
3/4 c sugar
1 egg
1/2 c orange juice
2 Tbsp grated orange rind
2 c flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
GLAZE
2 1/2 Tbsp butter, softened
1 1/2 c confectioners' sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp orange juice

Steps:

  • 1. Mix all the glaze ingredients well and set aside.
  • 2. Mix shortening, sugar, and egg well and then add the dry ingredients and mix well.
  • 3. Drop by tsp. onto oookie sheets and bake 8-10 minutes till LIGHT brown.
  • 4. Cool cookies and then glaze.
