Slow Cooker Chinese Carrots image

A simple side dish with bold flavor. I made a huge tray for a friend's fancy party and it was gone in no time. Everyone asked me for the recipe, but I had made it up! Serve with your favorite Chinese food.

2 pounds baby carrots
½ cup orange juice concentrate
¼ cup tamari sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
1 teaspoon grated orange zest
1 tablespoon Asian (toasted) sesame oil
1 tablespoon honey

Steps:

  • Place the baby carrots, orange juice concentrate, tamari sauce, garlic, ginger, orange zest, toasted sesame oil, and honey into a slow cooker, and mix well. Set the cooker to Low, cover, and cook for 8 hours. Turn setting to High, and cook for 30 minutes.
