Shrimp with Bacon and Mushrooms image

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/4 cup All purpose flour
8 pieces Bacon
6 ounces Mushrooms (sliced)
1 pound Shrimp (16-20 count)
10 cloves Garlic (2 sliced, 8 finely chopped)
6 dashes Tobasco sauce
1 Lemon
6 Green onions

Steps:

  • Saute bacon till crisp, cool , and chop, set aside
  • Pour off all but 2 tablespoons of bacon fat
  • Saute sliced mushrooms in bacon fat, set aside
  • Discard bacon fat
  • Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil (med heat) in saute pan or wok, add sliced garlic
  • Cook garlic until light brown, discard garlic
  • Reheat oil to med high, add shrimp and saute on one side 1 1/2 - 2 min
  • Turn shrimp, add chopped garlic, bacon, and chopped garlic. Continue cooking for 1 1/2 - 2 minutes
  • Add 6 dashes of Tobasco sauce and juice of 1/2 lemon, stir
  • Add sliced green onions
  • Serve over grits or sauteed bok choy
