Shepherd's Pie Hot Dish image

Prepped and baked all in one skillet for easy clean up, this family classic is updated with a Tater Tot® topping instead of mashed potatoes.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 can (14.5 oz.) Del Monte® Diced Tomatoes, drained
1 can (14.5 oz.) Del Monte® Cut Green Beans, drained
1 jar (12 oz.) beef gravy
1 tsp. dried rosemary, crushed
4 cups (16 oz.) frozen Ore-Ida® Tater Tots®
1/2 to 1 cup shredded white Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese, optional

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 425oF. Cook ground beef with onion in a large oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat until beef is no longer pink; drain.
  • Stir in tomatoes, green beans, gravy and rosemary, mixing well. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat and top with Tater Tots®.
  • Bake until sauce is bubbly and Tater Tots® are golden brown, about 30 to 35 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese, if desired.
