Scottish Oatmeal (Rice Cooker) image

Adapted from the Bob's Red Mill package of Whole Grain Scottish Oatmeal. Scottish oatmeal is ground finer than steel-cut oats and is not flattened like rolled oats.

3 cups water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup oatmeal, Scottish

Steps:

  • Add water, salt and oatmeal to rice cooker. This can be done the night before. The soaked oatmeal will cook faster.
  • Turn rice cooker on, or use the steam/cook setting.
  • When rice cooker turns off, enjoy with honey or brown sugar and milk.
