Scalloped Potatoes image

Great side dish for those large family holidays.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/3 c flour
1/4 c butter, melted
1 tsp ground dry mustard
1/2 tsp white pepper
2 c half and half
6 c yukon gold potatoes, thinly sliced
2 onions, julienne
2 c sharp white shredded cheddar cheese
2 c sharp yellow shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Melt butter in saucepan. Add flour and brown lightly. Add dry mustard, white pepper and half and half. Heat until it starts to thicken.
  • 2. Layer potatoes, onion, cheese, and sauce in a 13x9 pan. I do three layers.
  • 3. Bake at 350 degrees covered for 45 minutes, uncovered for additionall 15-30 minutes until the top looks a little crusty
