Savory Cheeseball image

Football season is here and this is my most requested item to bring to game day parties! Super easy to make! At Halloween I roll it in shredded carrot and mold to shape of a pumpkin, and at weddings or Valentine's day I line a heart shaped pan with plastic wrap and press cheese ball in to form heart shape, then lift out of pan by plastic wrap and uncover. Voila! Heart shaped cheese ball! P.S., I ALWAYS have to double the recipe because it disappears so fast! (Be sure to use pastrami. No other beef will give the proper flavor.)

Time 15m

Yield 1 cheeseball

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 bunch green onion (chopped)
1 (2 ounce) package pastrami (thinly sliced and finely chopped)
1 teaspoon meat tenderizer (I use Accent)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Place cream cheese in bowl and let soften just a bit. Add finely chopped pastrami and green onions, including about half of the chive. Add Accent and Worcestershire sauce and (this part is a bit messy) knead mixture thoroughly with clean hands. Form into a ball and chill before serving with crackers.
