SAUTÉED ASPARAGUS WITH SHALLOTS image

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 tbsp Unsalted butter
1.5 lb Asparagus (approximately 1 bunch), trimmed
1 whole Shallot, sliced
2 tsp Lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Spread asparagus into a single layer in a large sauté pan, top with shallots, and add 3 tablespoons water. Cover and place over high heat. Cook till asparagus is bright green and still crisp, about 5 minutes. Uncover and add butter. Sauté till asparagus is tender and shallots are golden brown, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove pan from heat and season with lemon juice, salt and pepper.
