Sausage Cornbread Bake image

1 lb (16 oz.) sausage
1 large onion, chopped
2 eggs, beat lightly
1 1/2 cups cornmeal mix
1 can cream corn
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 cups Kraft Sharp Cheddar Cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Grease 10 and 1/2 in. skillet or 2 quart baking dish. Brown sausage and onion in medium skillet; drain. Combine eggs, cornmeal, corn, milk and oil.
  • Pour half of corn meal mixture into prepared skillet or dish, Sprinkle with sausage mixture and cheese. Pour remaining batter over top.
  • Bake 30 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes.
