Sausage Balls image

A good appetizer, for family gatherings or parties!

Number Of Ingredients 11

10 ounce(s) cheddar cheese
3 cup(s) biscuit mix
1 - onion, finely minced
2 clove(s) garlic cloves, pressed
1/4 cup(s) chicken broth
1 pound(s) sausage
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
1/2 teaspoon(s) onion powder
1/2 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon(s) sage, dried
1/4 teaspoon(s) thyme, dried

Steps:

  • In skillet over low heat, break up sausage meat and simmer with chicken broth, sage, onion, and minced garlic until sausage is done, stirring often(15-20 min.) Do not brown. Season to taste with salt, pepper, thyme, onion powder and garlic powder. Let cool 10 minutes.
  • Combine all ingredients in large bowl. Roll into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased, foil lined cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 12 minutes or until golden or cooked through.
