Saturday Night Bean Casserole image

This was one a my favorites growing up. Mom would serve French Toast, as the side for it. No syrup, coat bread and my Dad was the "french toast cooker". I know this sounds strange, but they went well with each other. And still does today!!!

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 can(s) pineapple slices, 9 oz
2 can(s) baked beans, 1lb size
1 can(s) treet
2 Tbsp dark molasses
1/2 tsp dry mustard
whole cloves

Steps:

  • 1. Drain pineapple, reserve juice, slice in half.
  • 2. In a 1 1/2 qt baking dish, mix baked beans and pineapple together.
  • 3. Slice Treet into 6 triangles, place on top of beans, plice half pineapple on top of Treet, put 3 or 4 cloves in pineapple.
  • 4. Mix juice, molasses and mustard together, pour over meat. Bake at 375, for 30 minutes
