SAND TART COOKIES image

2 C flour
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 C shortening
1/4 C butter
1/2 T vanilla
1 tsp almond extract
1/2 C nuts
1/2 C powdered sugar (to roll cookies in)

Steps:

  • Mix all except pwd sugar until dough is smooth. Shape into small balls. Bake 325 for 20-25 min. While warm roll in powdered sugar
