SALTED NUT BARS image

Yield 1 10 x 15 pan

Number Of Ingredients 11

Crust
3 cups flour
1 ½ cups lt. brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter softened
Topping
2 cups mixed nuts (1 ½ cans approx)
½ cup Karo syrup
2 TBS butter
1 T water
6 oz pkg butterscotch chips

Steps:

  • Prepare Crust Mix crust ingredients. Press into ungreased 10 x 15" pan. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. Prepare Nut Layer Remove pan from oven and sprinkle mixed nuts over crust. Combine Karo syrup, water, butter and butterscotch chips in pan. Boil 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour mixture over nuts and spread over all. Bake additional 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Cool and cut into small squares.
