Salmon a la King image

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 (11-ounce) can refrigerated soft bread stick
1/4 cup margarine or butter
1/2 cup , coarsely chopped green bell pepper
1/2 cup sliced celery
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups milk
1 (14 3/4-ounce) can salmon drained, flaked
1 (2-ounce) jar , chopped pimiento, drained
fresh dill if desired

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 350°F. Separate breadsticks. Stack 3 breadsticks together stretch to a 10-inch rope. Twist rope shape into ring, pinching ends to seal. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining breadsticks. Bake at 350°F. for 18 to 22 minutes or until golden brown.2. Meanwhile, melt margarine in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add bell pepper and celery cook and stir 1 minute. Stir in flour and salt cook until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Gradually add milk. Cook until mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly.3. Gently fold in salmon and pimientos cook until thoroughly heated. Serve over baked breadstick rings.
