Rice Crispy Treats image

I can never find the rice crispy treat recipe when I want it, so I decided to write it down and put it in my cookbook. Add peanut butter, m&m's, chocolate chips, etc. to make it your own.

Number Of Ingredients 3

1/4 c unsalted butter
1 pkg (10 1/2 ounces) mini marshmallows
6 c crisp rice cereal

Steps:

  • 1. In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat until melted. Add marshmallows and continue to heat until they are melted, stirring constantly.
  • 2. Immediately add cereal; mix lightly until well coated. Press into greased 13x9x2-inch baking pan.
  • 3. Cool; cut into squares. Makes about 24.
