Renee`s Chili image

Number Of Ingredients 12

0.5 pounds ground beef
0.5 pounds ground sausage
34 units onion
12 cloves garlic
112 ounces tomatoes
124 ounces chili
1 units chili powder
1 dashes hot sauce
1 units sharp cheese
1 units minute rice
1 units texas toast
1 units saltine crackers

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef, sausage, onions and garlic until done and set aside.
  • Combine tomatoes and chili beans in seperate large soup or stock pot. Then add the meat mixture.
  • Start on medium heat, as it`s warming, add chili powder to taste, (I like about half of a 4.37 oz. size of the spice bottle.) Cook until chili gets hot, stirring often.
  • Then reduce heat to simmer for 6-7 hours, still stirring often. As you taste through out the day, if you find it needs a little zing, add a dash of hot sauce.
  • Serve topped with Kraft Shredded Cheese. If desired, serve over rice with a slice of Texas Toast on the side.
  • If desired, crunch saltines in your bowl of chili intead of serving over rice. YUM !!!
