I made this for Thanksgiving one year. Totally decadent and over the top.I originally got the recipe from a friend of a friend.

Number Of Ingredients 9

16 ounces cream cheese
8 ounces peanut butter, creamy or crunchy, whichever you like
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons brown sugar
3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
1 cup chopped peanuts
6 reese's cups chopped
1/2 cup peanut butter chips
½ cup chocolate chips

Steps:

  • 1. Soften cream cheese. Beat well, then cream in brown sugar, peanut butter and confectioners' sugar. Add vanilla extract. Fold in peanut butter and chocolate chips, and peanut butter cups. Refrigerate in a bowl for 3 hours. Form into a ball, then roll in chopped peanuts. I processed a cup of the chocolate chip and peanut butter chips and added to the final chopped peanuts to roll the cheese balls in to give it an added dimension, but you don`t need to if you don`t want to. I think these would be cool to freeze slightly, and make a Ganache, and put on a rack and either drizzle with chocolate Ganache, or dip in the Ganache, and let set up and top with a smatter of melted peanut butter for a "buckeye" cheese ball. Cool, huh! (Since first trying this for a 'buckeye cheeseball'. I've made literally dozens of them, especially during buckeye football season. Very good. Sue
