1.25 pound(s) beef stew meat
2 small onions, cut into eighths
8 - new red potatoes, quartered
1 pound(s) baby carrots
1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
1 teaspoon(s) dried thyme
1 can(s) tomatoes, peeled, diced, 14 1/2 ounces with juice
18 ounce(s) brown gravy
4 slice(s) bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
8 ounce(s) fresh whole mushrooms

Steps:

  • In medium skillet over med-high heat, cook beef and bacon until beef is browned; drain.
  • In 3-1/2 to 4 quart crockpot combine gravy, tomatoes, thyme, salt and pepper.
  • Add beef, bacon and remaining ingredients; stir gently to combine.
  • Cover; cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or until meat and veggies are tender.
