Pressure Cooker Pot Roast image

I came up with this because I didn't have my usual pot roast ingredients on hand. So, I just used what I had and we were pleasantly surprised at how tasty this is! I didn't sear the meat as you usually would and didn't cut the baby potatoes. I started it in the morning so it would be ready for lunch. My husband who isn't a pot roast fan just raved about this!

Number Of Ingredients 9

4 pound(s) bottom round beef roast
2 tablespoon(s) kitchen bouquet
2 package(s) chicken gravy mix
1 package(s) ranch dressing seasoning mix
1 package(s) dry onion soup mix
4 cup(s) water
4 stalk(s) celery, chopped
2 large carrots, peeled and chopped
1 1/2 pound(s) baby potatoes

Steps:

  • Place roast in the pressure cooker insert. Sprinkle the gravy mixes, ranch mix, and soup mix over top. Add kitchen Bouquet on top. Place vegetables on top. Add water over top.
  • Seal lid on pressure cooker. Set custom time to 120 minutes on high pressure.
  • Allow to slow release until all pressure is gone.
  • Remove roast carefully to a serving plate. Gently scrap off any visible fat and discard. Scoop vegetables out onto serving plate with roast.
  • With a really sharp knife slice pot roast. Ladle some juices from pressure cooker over meat to moisten. Serve and enjoy!
