Prawn Cocktail image

Recipe adapted from Prawn Cocktail by Australian celebrity Chef Neil Perry. He says you'll want to eat cocktail sauce with everything, not just prawns. And prawns? They aren't simply huge shrimp. They have an extra pair of claws and are bigger overall, but in recipes prawns and shrimp can be used interchangeably with no affect in flavor.

Number Of Ingredients 9

8-10 ounce(s) cooked prawns or cooked jumbo shrimp, peeled, deveined, and tail section left intact
1/3 cup(s) mayonnaise
1-1/2 teaspoon(s) ketchup or no-sugar-added ketchup
1 teaspoon(s) grated horseradish
1/2 teaspoon(s) worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon(s) tabasco or other hot sauce
1/8 teaspoon(s) cayenne pepper
1 cup(s) shredded iceberg lettuce
2 - lemon wedges

Steps:

  • Stir together sauce.
  • Serve shrimp on a bed of lettuce with sauce on the side and lemon wedges to squeeze over.
