Potato Salad - Recipe - (4.5/5) image

4 pounds white or yellow potatoes
5 stalks of celery
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
salt and peper to taste
adjust dressing to the amount of potatoes and to taste.

Steps:

  • Cook potatoes until done and let cool. Peal potatoes and cut into slices. I use an egg slicer to get the potatoes uniform. Dice celery stalks and add to potatoes. Combine vinegar, sugar, salt and celery seed in a small bowl and mix until sugar dissolves. Then pour over potatoes, add mayonnaise and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and refrigerate.
