Plums in Red Wine image

1 quart plums
2 to 3 tablespoons sugar
1 cup light red wine (Beaujolais is ideal)

Steps:

  • Halve, pit and quarter the plums. Sprinkle with the sugar, add the red wine to almost cover the plums. Macerate 1 hour.
