I love to make Pizzelles for the holiday. They melt in your mouth, they are real easy to make. My kids have always enjoyed these. They are addictive........

BATTER
2 cup(s) flour
1 cup(s) sugar
3/4 cup(s) butter, melted
1 tablespoon(s) star anise or vanilla
2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
4 large eggs beaten

Steps:

  • 1. Heat pizzelle iron, you may need to lightly spray it with pam. Mix all ingredients.
  • 2. Drop 1 tablespoon batter onto each design of heated pizzelle iron; close iron. Bake about 30 seconds or until golden brown. Carefully remove pizzelle from iron. Cool on wire rack. Repeat with remaining batter. Then you can either leave whole or break into quarters.....I store them in a airtight container or zip lock bag...
  • You can dip in chocolate or white chocolate too...or just plain...These are great for making your own ice cream cones also
