How to make Pink Lemonade Cookie Bars

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 pkg Duncan Hines White Cake Mix
2 large eggs
½ cup canola oil
zest of one lemon
½ tsp lemon extract
1 can Duncan Hines Frosting Creations frosting starter
1 pkt Duncan Hines Frosting Creations Pink Lemonade flavor mix
sprinkles, optional for decoration

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Grease or line a 9 x 13 pan with aluminum foil.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, oil, and zest (plus extract for pink lemonade version) until well combined.
  • Press dough evenly into the prepared 9 x 13 pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for about 18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
  • Pour packet of flavor mix into the can of Duncan Hines frosting creations frosting starter.
  • Spread or pipe the frosting over the cooled bars. Cut into bars and sprinkle with sprinkles or toasted coconut if desired. Makes 18-24 bars.
