Philly Cheese Ball image

This is an old recipe that I have been looking for so I could give to my niece who remembered it from when she was a little girl. The name refers to the brand of cream cheese, but I found notes that I deleted and add ingredients years ago. Since some are not crossed out I assume they are good. The recipe is basic but good....

Number Of Ingredients 5

8 oz philly cream cheese, any kind, room temp.
2 - 4 oz chopped, chipped beef in 2 oz bag,
1 1/2 tsp horseradish or to taste
1 small onion, minced or dehydrated onion can be used just rehydrate
1 Tbsp miracle whip

Steps:

  • 1. Combine the cream cheese, horseradish, minced onion and Miracle Whip.
  • 2. Beat until smooth
  • 3. slice beef and chop into small pieces, mix into cheese by hand
  • 4. Form into ball or leave in bowl and chill.
  • 5. Serve with assorted crackers, bread bites, pretzels or pretzel bread bites.
