Pecan Pie Bars image

These bars are so easy to bake and can be used for desserts or just a snack. My co-workers love it when I bake, because I always bring plenty to work.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 box yellow cake mix
4 eggs
1/2 c butter, melted
1 1/2 c white karo syrup
1/2 c dark brown sugar, packed
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 c chopped pecans

Steps:

  • 1. Mix cake mix 1 egg and melted butter real well. Reserve 2/3 cup batter. Pour the rest of the batter into a 9x13 pan and press into place,this takes time so make sure your hands are dry.Bake for 10 minutes at 325 degrees.
  • 2. Mix the rest of the ingredients as well as the reserved batter,well and pour over crust. Bake for 1 hour at 325. Cool before slicing into bars.
