My father-in-law has a pear tree in his yard and brought me over a garbage sack of ripe pears one day. I found this recipe in an old recipe book my mother had. I gave away and froze the remaining bread for another day! Great with coffee in the morning or an afternoon snack!

Steps:
- 1. Beat oil and sugar until well blended. Beat in aggs, one at a time. Add sour cream and vanilla.
- 2. Sift together flour, Salt, soda, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add to wet mixture. Beat until well blended. Fold in pears and nuts.
- 3. Spoon into a 9x5 inch loaf pan
- 4. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Cool in pan for 15 minutes, then turn out and cool on rack.
