Pear Bread image

A very good bread. Watch your bake time, it doesn't take mine this long to get done. Adjust for your oven.

Number Of Ingredients 11

3 c flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp cinnamon
3/4 c vegetable oil
3 eggs
2 c white sugar
2 c peeled shredded pears
1 c chopped pecans
2 tsp vanilla

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • 2. Make a well in the center of the bowl.
  • 3. In a separate bowl, combine the oil, eggs, sugar, pears, pecans, and vanilla.
  • 4. Blend well.
  • 5. Add to well of dry ingredients.
  • 6. Stir until just moistened.
  • 7. Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 8x5x3 inch loaf pans.
  • 8. Bake at 325* for 1 hour, 15 mintues.
  • 9. Cool on wire rack before taking out of the pan.
