PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES Recipe - (5/5) image

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 1/4 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Sift and measure flour. Resift with salt, soda and baking powder. Cream shortening. Add sugars, cream until light and fluffy. Add peanut butter, blend well. Add beaten egg to shortening-sugar mixture. Add vanilla. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Mold into balls 1-inch in diameter and place on ungreased baking sheet. Press down crisscross with floured fork. Bake at 375 degrees 10-12 minutes.
