This is a true old timey recipe. My mother started making this over 40 years ago. Never had a written recipe. Everyone who eats this, loves it. And it is easy and sooooo good.

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 box(es) vanilla wafers
6-8 - very ripe and juicie peaches
1 cup(s) heavy cream, whipped

Steps:

  • Now this is how my Mother made it. Used a 9 x 13 inch pyrx dish. Line the bottom with a layer of vanillia wafers.
  • You need really juicy peaches, the kind that run down you chin when you eat the. Start peeling the peaches, holding them over the vanilla wafers. Slice peaches into thin slices and make a layer on the vanilla wafers, repeat vanilla wafers and peach layers
  • Take 2 boxes (1/2 cup each) of real whipping cream. Whip with out sugar or any flavorings. Spread over the top of the peach/vanilla wafers. Refrigerate over night. The longer it sets, the better it gets. The wafers become soggy(pudding)
  • Note: if you peaches are not very juicy, slice into a bowl and sprinkle with sugar and let them set for about an hour. This is so good on a hot summer night.
