Peach or Apricot Butter image

Number Of Ingredients 5

4 (28-ounce) cans peaches, drained
3-4 cups sugar, to taste
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cloves
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Steps:

  • Make sure fruit is well drained and no pits are included. Puree using blender or food processor. Pour in the crockpot. Add remaining ingredients. Cover cook on HIGH 8 to 10 hours. Remove cover during last half of cooking. Stir occasionally. Store in refrigerator. Variation: Fresh Peach or Apricot Butter - Wash, peel, pit and cook fruit till soft. Add sugar when cooked (using 1/2 to 3/4 c sugar to each cup of fruit). Add spices and cook as directed in recipes.
